Dating to 1991 this incredible Ref. 16520 is quite the package. MK3/ “Inverted 6” dial, factory all brushed bracelet and one of the nicest Patrizzi dials I’ve come across.
What is a Patrizzi dial you ask? Patrizzi dials refer to the discoloration caused by a varnish called Zapon, used during the early to mid 90s, that turned the subdials on their black dial 16520s various shades of tan/brown. The darker being most desired. This example in particular, has taken on a rich coffee color that is even tough out. As with most of Rolex’s mistakes they’ve become very sought after. Think cream dial 16550s, tropical dials, etc.
Case is thick, bracelet remains in excellent condition and bears correct P date code. Watch comes fully linked and is keeping good time.
