Rolex Ref. 1680/8 18k gold submariner dating to 1971. Watch features a killer tropical blue dial that has taken on one of the most vibrant purple/magenta colors I’ve come across. Typically these purple dials only show their color in no direct light – this dial shows it’s color in most all lighting conditions. Buyer has the option between inserts shows – MK3 1680 or Tudor MK3. Case is thick showing only minimal polishing in the past. Watch appears to have been originally retailed on a strap given lack of bracelet marks. Hands are are original tritium.
